A slight breeze welcomed us. Jenevora’s and Fergus’s sun-kissed silhouettes glowing, as they declared their love to the sounds of waves crashing on the rocks at the exclusive Fortress Hotel in southern Sri Lanka. This beautiful couple chose to bypass the gloomy English winter for the welcoming warmth of the Indian Ocean. With them were their closest family and dearest friends, fascinated at the sight of the magnificent elephant that is traditionally present at Sri Lankan wedding ceremonies. The couple was honored with a performance by traditional dancers, who skillfully kept time to centuries-old drum rhythms once performed to the great kings of the long gone Kingdom of Kandy.
